Now that games are at Taft Bay Park are Dogs Allows?
Dogs are NOT allowed per NSYS rules for the safety of our players, coaches and parents.  In addition to that the Town of Constantia does not allow Dogs to be present at during events.

Can i pick the team my child is on, or can i pick my coach?
NSYS allows team, coach and friend request for team placement, Placement is not guaranteed.  Placement is based on date of registration, coach request, teammate request and then random draw.  If the team roster is full request will not be honored.

When are Games Played?
All Games are played on Saturday mornings, games canceled due to weather are not made up.

What if i want to coach?
Great, NSYS is always looking for coaches.  We accept Coaches with and without experience.  The Board of Directors are always available as a support staff to assist.  Coaching is a great way to learn the game.  If you coach your Child(ren)(If they fall in the division) will be placed on your team.

Can I pick when and where my child practices?
No, Practice times and days are picked by the coach.  All Coaches are volunteer positions, practice time will be convenient for them.

Can my child play on the same team as their friend?
Players may be placed on the same team if they fall in the same age division and the roster is not full.

Can i have both of my children on the same team?
As long as both children are in the same age division we will place them on the same team.  We will not allow players to play up without request for the coach and Board approval.
I do not like the practice time and/or date, can it be changed?
Unfortunately no, Coaches set the time and date which will be most convenient to them, please remember they are volunteer positions.

What is included in my registration fee?
Players are provided a full uniform(shirt/shorts/socks).  Players are awarded a trophy at the end of the year, cost also covers liability insurance through the league.

Do we play in the rain and cold?
Yes, soccer is placed in all weather.  Games will only be canceled due to thunder/lightening or extreme cold and rain together.  Games will not be made up if canceled.

How do i know if a game is canceled?
Notifications are sent to the coaches who will contact you.  Notifications will also be sent via email/text to registered users of the site as well as posted on the Facebook Group(North Shore Youth Soccer) Please join if you are not already a member.

What if there is an issue during a game?
Board members are always staffed at the concession stand or walking around the playing fields, do not hesitate to bring the matter to their attention.  Or feel free to just stop us and say hello.

Is jewelry allowed during games and practices?
No for safety concerns jewelry is not allowed.  Should your child have any on, it will need to be removed before they are allowed to play.  This is enforced by the Officials and coaches.

Can my child wear a coat or sweatshirt?
Yes, but the jersey must be the outer most layer of clothing.  Gloves and hats are allowed with the exception of rimmed hats.  Please remember that we do play in early spring and fall, it does it cold, remember to order uniform with the ability to layer clothing.

Do you offer summer camps or indoor teams?
At this point we do not, but are looking in to various avenues to bring these to the league.
