NSYS Rules and Guidelines.

  1. Games will start at the scheduled time.  Ensure Players arrive early and warm up prior to the start time.  When the scheduled time arrives immediately take the field for instructions and begin play.  Games MUST START ON TIME, and no GAME will run past their allotted time
  2. Each team should consist of 10 players including a goalie, in the event one team is short, they will play at even strength.  
  3. Substitutions may be made on any dead ball, for either team.  Please make sure the referees are aware.
  4. Games will consist of 4 – 8 minute quarters.  There is no half time.  In the event games are running behind or inclement weather, the referee and/or league has the right to shorten or abandon the game.
  5. Please ensure your team arrives at least 15 minutes early(coaches included) to allow for adequate stretching time.
  6. There is no time outs during the game, during injuries game play will stop but the clock will continue to run.
  7. Kick offs must be played in a forward direction.
  8. Any infraction occurring within the penalty box will be a indirect kick.
  9. Direct kicks are taken for any fouls that result handballs or misconduct, with the exception of rule #8.
  10. There is no slide tackling, if a player continues to attempt to slide tackle after being warned, they will be removed from the game.
  11. Throw ins are non instruction, infractions will result in the ball being turned over to the other team.
  12. All players must wear uniforms as the outer most layer of clothes, sweaters and jackets must be warn under the uniform.  No jewelry is allowed on the field.
  13. Parents must remain on the opposite side as the players.  No parent should be allowed to sit with the team, unless they are a registered coach.
  14. Coaches and parents must remain on the side lines.  No one should be behind the end lines(goals).
  15. Size 5 ball will be used at all times.
  16. Off-sides will be called.  Please understand this is a difficult call and is at the referees discretion.
  17. The Referees have full control of the game.  Once a decision is made it is final.  Referees have the right to stop the game and remove spectators after warning for infractions.
